I am Timorese.

This crisis has revealed many myths and truths about Timor Leste. More compelling is that this crisis has showed us that the transformation of man is not always for the positive.
Xanana is like all of us nothing but a mere mortal, no longer the revered man nor the symbol of unity that binded Timorese during the struggle.

What as a Timorese I have come to admire is individuals like, Mari Alkatiri who shown his unfaltering commitment to this nation, Taur Matan Ruak who has show great discipline that has been reflected in loyal soldiers of the FFDTL. Yes, I would vote for Taur as President, yes I would support Mari as Prime Minister again.

I think you must be suffering from an acute attack of madness! Didn't you see what was happening to the country when Alkatiri had to resign?
Most of the problems going on in timor where created by incompetent goverment of Alkatiri. This goverment with Horta is still a fretilin goverment. Alkatiri said in Portugal that all the decisions from the ministers have to have his approval. Don't put everything on Xanana's shoulders. Alkatiri, Rogerio, Roque and all the others are the ones to be balmed.

Yiu will vote por them because they did exactly what you and people like you need to survive as marginals, but I will not vote for them, because they are the one I blame for chaotik situation we are living in. Don't try to tell us that they are inocent on the issue of ilegal destribuition of weapons to civilians. I don't want to spport any one like them.

Sou Timorense.

Unlike you two I have a conscience. It was Xanana's inflammatory speech of the 23 March 2006 that divided the nation. How careless of a leader who puts a reporters view on "alleged" distribution of weapons without properly consulting a Prime Minister who is a legitimate representative of the people before asking for his resignation.

What about the Presidents insistence that the ex PM Mari resign or else he would resign knowing well that this would lead to a further escalation in violence.

What about the President threatening dissolving the Parliament who are above all legitimate representatives of the people.

What about the President having constant "contact" with Petitioners and Alfredo whom later attacked FFDTL.

What about the President doing nothing over some leaders and attack others who are a threat to his leadership.

This President is hypocritical, he is no Angel. If you don’t see this you lack conscience because his actions was part of the problem that led to the crisis.

Again I put forward to you that I as a citizen of Timor will not vote for him as President if he is to be a candidate. How you vote is your prerogative.
