(Sobre o artigo A New Phase in the East Timor Crisis da MRZine)

As the author quite rightly says "for some people" things are better under Horta. There is still no real confidence in security, nor any sings that the Internally Displaced People will return home.

The Petitioners issue is not resolved. Alfredo is out and Rai Los has joined him in the mountains.

It appears the removal of Alkatiri has not resolved any fundamental issues of the crisis.

Timor's strong position in the Timor Sea negotiations is now undermined. The fast tracking of business certificates and containers moving quicly off wharves in a country where there is littel human resources for control of such transactions only amounts to the possibility of allowing dubious people or criminals hijacking the system.

The crisis has revealed Horta's pivotal role in the unfair removal of Alkatiri. The Prime Minister is coming under greater pressure from elements close to him and FRETILIN who discussed Horta’s involvement in the crisis during a recent Central Committee meeting.

Things only appear on the surface to be better under Horta.

In fact if Horta is not performing 100% is only because of interfearence from Fretilin. Would have been the right thing to do if he was the one select the members of his cabinet. He took over the office with the imposition from FRETILIN to maintain the same people as there claimed that the one have been elected by the people. Wrong. There voted to writte the constitution no govern. They vote themselves to govern taking advantages of having the numbers in the constitutional assembly. How about that.
Dr Ramos Horta is trying to do something but his cabinet ....have instructions from outside

The decision for the constituent assembly to become the parliament was made during the UN Transitional Period by the East Timorese leaders at that time. The leadership group that made that decision was comprised of a cross section of East Timorese leaders. It was not a FRETILIN party decision.

So stop crying foul of the result and blaming FRETLIN for it. The opposition parties will get their chance in the upcoming elections.

Whether you like it or not- FRETILIN has the majority in parliament and that majority has to be respected. SO STOP BEING A BIG CRY BABY- PERHAPS YOU NEED ME TO SING YOU A LULLABY

"Would have been the right thing to do if he was the one select the members of his cabinet."

I'd rather say: would have been right if Fretilin selected its own prime-minister. By accepting Ramos Horta, a non Fretilin member, and anti-Alkatiri JL Guterres, Fretilin was already doing them a big favor. If RH feels uncomfortable in his role, all he's got to do is to resign, because nobody is forcing him to be prime-minister. In fact, he did volunteer for it.

"They vote themselves to govern"

And who voted for Ramos Horta?

God! Are you not biased too? What makes you more credible than the next bloke? Be serious and stop trying to fool people because you are only fooling yourself.

As for the Dateline program you think it is brilliant because it goes along with what you already believed anyway. It serves your purpose. On ther other hand you and your likes will say that the Four Corners program was shocking and biased too! So where does that leave us?
It's all about what you want to believe in anyway. But don't worry because in the end the results of the International Investigation Comission will shed some light on all this mess. Until then your opinion is as good as that of the average bloke concerned with the situation.

The leaders did not vote for FRETILIN to govern. FRETILIN who had majority in the constituint assemble members took advantage of its numbers voted themselves to become parlliamentary assembly and to govern. They were not voted to govern the country, OK...

It is time for FRENTILIN fans to have more comon sense and start to think without been egocentric and think more about the country and its poor people.

Alkatiri and his team should be quite at this stage and have more brain and encourage their member to work together with everyone....

I fill sorry for ET people .

Qual será a solução?
