International Crisis group? Who are they really? Look at the people involved in it and the characters. A think tank for what? For whom most poignantly? Lets just look at one of the characters who has been a high flier for them in global matters: Gareth Evans, former Australian Foreign Minister in one of the most regressive and pro-US Labor governments, and who once referred to FRETILIN as that "bunch of rag tag Marxist Lenninists" during an Australian Labor Party national Conference. He heavily lobbied and opposed the Labor Party continuing its storng por East Timor self determination policy.
I could go on but I will not. Let's look at the ramifications of what they are suggesting. That Fretilin is deprived of their most useful articulator of the nation's right to self determination and self governance without external interference. That Jose Ramos-Horta (the great compromiser and vendor to all and sundry of all those things Alaktiri portects and fights for) have a free run at whatever he wants in the process of the next elections; President, Prime minister...whatever. That his political mafioso friend (and sole mate for selling out Timor-Leste) Jose Luis Gutteres, also gets the opportunity to do what he could not do with the coup he was a part of. Because, Fretilin will win the nest elections yet again, but it will not be difficult to manipulate a Fretilin without alkatiri at the helm of government. What does all this signify: THE SUCCESSFUL PROPAGATION OF THE COUP OF THE 22ND OF MARCH 2006 (the day PR Gusmao delivered the speech that set the nation ablaze). The day the first verbal shot was fired.
These outcomes conveniently signify what the International Crisis Group would like to result..... and ultimately one great result for the coup de'etatists, the likelihood of a political leadership which is more maliable for Australia and other foreign interests. To make Timor-Leste much easier to contain and control with respect to its strategic importance in the deep water submarine passage in the Ombai and Wetar Straits and the now confirmed huge reserves of gas in the Timor Sea. this brings to the fore one question: what about these foreign interests and their involvement in this crisis; as promoters, supporters and cheer leaders; what to do about them, because whatever sidelining occurs, Timor-Leste is still prone to conflict provocation from external sources as it has been to date.

International Crisis group? Quem são eles realmente? Reparem nas pessoas envolvidas e nas personalidades. Um grupo de pensadores para quê? Para quem a maior dureza? Reparemos só numa das personalidades que tem sido um alto propagandista para eles em matérias globais: Gareth Evans, antigo Ministro dos Estrangeiros Australianos num dos mais regressivos e mais pro-USA dos governos dos Trabalhistas, e que uma vez se referiu à FRETILIN como aquele " tumor mascarado de Marxistas Lenninistas" durante uma Conferência Nacional do partido Trabalhista Australiano. Intermediou pesadamente e opôs-se ao partido Trabalhista continuar o apoio à política de auto determinação para Timor-Leste.
Podia continuar mas não o farei. Reparemos nas ramificações do que estão a sugerir. Que a Fretilin seja privada do seu articulador mais útil, do direito da nação à auto determinação e ao auto governo sem interferência externa. Que José Ramos-Horta (o grande transator e vendedor para todos e vários de todas estas coisas que Alaktiri protege e porque luta) tenha roda livre a seja o que for que quer no processo das próximas eleições; Presidente, Primeiro-Ministro...seja o que for. Que o seu amigo político mafioso (e único sócio para vender Timor-Leste) José Luis Gutteres, também tenha uma oportunidade para fazer o que ele não pode fazer com o golpe de que foi parte. Porque a Fretilin ganhará as próximas eleições ainda mais uma vez, mas não será difícil manipular a Fretilin sem Alkatiri à frente do governo. O que tudo isto significaria: A PROPAGAÇÃO COM SUCESSO DO GOLPE DE 22 DE JUNHO DE 2006 (o dia em que o PR Gusmão fez o discurso que pôs a nação a arder). O dia em que o primeiro tiro verbal foi disparado.
Estas consequências significam convenientemente os resultados de que o International Crisis Group gostaria..... e por fim um grande resultado para o grupo dos golpistas, a probabilidade de uma liderança política mais maleável para os interesses da Austrália e de outros estrangeiros. Tornar Timor-Leste muito mais fácil de conter e de controlar no que diz respeito à importância estratégica da passagem submarina das águas profundas em Ombai e Wetar Straits e as agora confirmadas enormes reservas de gás no Mar de Timor. Isto traz para a frente uma questão: O que há sobre estes interesses estrangeiros e o seu envolvimento nesta crise; como promotores, apoiantes e agitadores; que fazer acerca deles, porque seja o que for que ocorra aos lados, Timor-Leste ainda tende a sofrer conflitos e provocações de fontes externas como tem acontecido até hoje.
