Brig Gen Ruak has had to deal with a great deal during his time as Commander of the F-FDTL.
He understands more than anyone else about foreign direct interference in the F-FDTL. This interference which was always about undermining the relationship between the PNTL and F-FDTL (police and army) was ascertained as early as the Independent Commission of Inquiry Report headed by the President of the Republic in August 2004 which cited in page 26:
" F-FDTL members are dissatisfied with the creation of the Special Police Unit which appears to remove from the F-FDTL its role. Some Australian instructors negatively influence some military personnel in this regard".
I think an inquiry is more than warranted in the circumstances into the role of Australian advisors and their "divide and rule" tactics. This would not be the first time a nation has accused them of this: remember PNG in 2004 and recently in both Solomon Islands and Fiji too.
There is too much smoke to at least warrant a closer look to see if there is any actual fire.....and who the arsonists are hopefully.

Compreende melhor do que ninguém o que é a interferência directa estrangeira nas F-FDTL. Esta interferência que esteve sempre a minar o relacionamento entre a PNTL e as F-FDTL (polícia e forças armadas) verificou-se desde o Relatório da Comissão Independente de Inquérito liderada pelo Presidente da República em Agosto de 2004 que citou na página 26:
" Os membros das F-FDTL estão descontentes com a criação da Unidade Especial de Polícia que parece retirar o papel das F-FDTL. Alguns instrutores Australianos influenciaram negativamente algum pessoal militar nesta visão ".
Penso que um inquérito é mais do que justificado nas circunstâncias, ao papel dos conselheiros Australianos e das suas tácticas de "dividir para reinar ". Esta não seria a primeira vez que uma nação os acusaria disso: lembrem-se da Papua Nova Guiné em 2004 e recentemente também tanto nas Ilhas Salomão como nas Fiji.
Há demasiado fumo para ao menos justificar um olhar mais perto para ver se há actualmente qualquer fogo..... e com esperança, quem são os incendiários.
