Professores "são maior património" que Portugal pode dar - Ministra

Díli, 11 Set (Lusa) - A presença de professores portugueses constitui o "maior património" que Portugal pode oferecer a Timor- Leste, considerou hoje em Díli a ministra da Educação e Cultura timorense.

    Mr Melham asked the Prime Minister, in writing, on 22 May 2006:
    What sum was spent by the Commonwealth Government on:
    (a) travel, (b) accommodation, (c) security, and
    (d) all other expenses for the visit to Australia
    in July 2005 by His Excellency
    Mr Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao, President of
    Timor-Leste, and Her Excellency Mrs Kirsty Sword-Gusmao.

    Mr Howard-The answer to the honourable member's question is as follows:
    I am advised that as at 30 June 2006, the amount
    spent by the Department of the Prime Minister and
    Cabinet on travel, accommodation,
    security and all other expenses for the visit to
    Australia in July 2005 by His Excellency Mr Kay Rala Xanana
    Gusmao, President of Timor-Leste, and Her
    Excellency Mrs Kirsty Sword-Gusmao, was:

    (a) travel, $40,233.95

    (b) accommodation, $32,263.62

    (c) security, nil

    (d) all other expenses, $26,919.60
