Concert Only One Timor-Leste to mark Restoration of Independence
Tomorrow, May 20, marks the 4th anniversary of the Restoration of Independence and the UN handover to Timor-Leste.
To mark this occasion a concert – Only One Timor-Leste,Timor Ida Deit ! - a celebration of the best Timorese performers from all over the country, will be held at 7.30pm, May 20, in front of Palácio do Governo.
The Government of Timor-Leste decided not to undertake any major formal commemoration on this date because it had decided several months ago to concentrate in hosting major events in late August, including the bicycle Tour of Timor-Leste and Hahi Ita Rain, a cultural and environmental showcase.
