Timor president appeals for loyalty, national unity

East Timor's capital was calm for the first time in more than a week on Wednesday as residents welcomed news that independence hero Gusmao had assumed sole responsibility for the country's security.

    This is incorrect. The President has not assumed sole responsibility of security. He is commander in chief of the defence force and by agreement with the Prime Minister and the president of the parliament they are taking joint responsibility between the government and the president without altering the constitutional framework which exists.

    Eles sabem que estão a mentir mas insistem na mentira. Sáo discípulos do Goebbels que dizia que uma mentira para convencer tem que ser muito grande e muitas vezes repetida. "Gusmao had assumed sole responsibility for the country's security" é treta, mentira, mentirola, fantasia e o desejo frustado dos Reinados& friends.

    Que tal enviarem a declaração do Conselho de Estado para a Reuters, de preferência em inglês?
