I heard FRETILIN supporters will stage a counter demonstration in Dili. It is very worrying. Leaders of East Timor should solve their differences through dialogue and not mass protests involving the people who largely have no political knowledge or activism. This would ammount to using the people's ignorance for political gains of the few.
Changes of government should only follow the law as found in the Constitution. Anything other should be rejected.
The ignorance of the few have won. They have blatantly protested amongst criminals. They have not even criticised those who betrayed their uniforms. Only the President and criminals can organise protests these days, now that is worrying.
I hope FRETILIN will demonstrate we need to know whether there is real support or no support at all for them. There is a crisis and there needs to be a balance in power. Allowing those who have successfully campaigned aghainst the former Prime Minister is amountable to treason.
